Course description
This course aim at understanding the development of capitalism from the Nineteenth Century to the present. It provides an introduction of capitalism's basic institutions and their interconnections (the market exchanges, the monetary system, the enterprise, capital and financial markets, the role of the state). The second part of the course will focus on the history of monetary systems and of the national and international credit system.
