OVERVIEW

The Physics and Biomechanics course consists of a selection of topics of major relevance students.

It intends to bring students to address the problem solving in quantitative terms.

Each course is subdivided into modules, each containing teaching units consisting of transparency files and exercises and simulation links.

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The two teaching modules propose to study the basic aspects of Physics and applications of Biomechanics, in a propedeutical way to the characterizing courses.

LEARNING OUTCOMES (FURTHER INFO)

The course aims to bring the students to the solution of problems of Physics and Biomechanics in qualitative and quantitative terms.

It requires the student to follow the lessons, to understand the topics of the related slides and to solve the preparation exercises.

The student must learn the main elements of the branches of Physics and Biomechanics relevant for students in Life Sciences.

Students will need to learn how to correlate the topics of the lessons on the AULAWEB site with the ability to solve simple exercises. Numerous application examples and exercises are provided for this purpose. They will need to be able to apply mathematical, geometric and biomechanical knowledge to the proposed problems.

Only the ability to correctly interpret the proposed questions in the form of numerical exercises and / or quizzes can ensure that the student understands the topics of the lessons. The student will have to acquire the ability to understand and correlate rather than rely solely on the mnemonic acquisition.

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

The programs of the two integrated courses are listed on the pages, respectively.

RECOMMENDED READING/BIBLIOGRAPHY

Both for Physics and for Biomechanics the lessons are frontal. For both the aulaweb site is available, complete with slides of lessons, exercises, and exercises from books.

EXAMS

EXAM DESCRIPTION

The exam is held in the form of multiple-choice or open-ended quizzes for the two integrated courses. The number of quizes proposed is proportional to credits (10 for Physics and 20 for Biomechanics).

ASSESSMENT METHODS

The exam at the same time is the assessment of the student's preparation. From this academic year it was decided to give students the opportunity to pass the exam of each Integrated Course even in separate sessions.
