CODE 58033 ACADEMIC YEAR 2016/2017 CREDITS 14 cfu anno 1 MEDICINA E CHIRURGIA 8745 (LM-41) - TEACHING LOCATION PREREQUISITES Propedeuticità in uscita Questo insegnamento è propedeutico per gli insegnamenti: MEDICINE AND SURGERY 8745 (coorte 2016/2017) NERVOUS SYSTEM AND ENDOCRINE ANATOMY 80240 MODULES Questo insegnamento è composto da: LOCOMOTOR ANATOMY SYSTEMATIC ANATOMY MEDICAL IMAGING OVERVIEW The course aims to understand the organization and structure of the human body in its various components, in an overall vision that integrates organs, apparatus and systems. It uses systematic, topographic or instrumental approaches to capturing images at different macro and microscopic resolution levels to search for functional activities in relation to specific developments in biomedical sciences. AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES (FURTHER INFO) Students will Know the body's structural organization with its major anatomical-clinical applications, from the macroscopic to the microscopic level. They will recognize the essential morphological characteristics of systems, apparatus and organs of the human body as well as their major morpho-functional correlates. At the end of the course students will have developed the ability to recognize the organ / apparatus in the regional context and to recognize the anatomical specimens by microscope. TEACHING METHODS Teaching is mainly composed of frontal lessons and a part of a theoretical / practical laboratory of microscopic anatomy. The frontal lessons will be held by the following professors: Prof. E. Ciccone, Prof. D. Saverino, Prof. C. Tacchetti and Prof. Zicca (contract professor). Laboratory activities will be held by Prof. D. Zarcone. SYLLABUS/CONTENT Describe the general architecture of the main topographical regions of the trunk: head, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, perineum. Describe morphology and topographic anatomy of the heart and pericardium. Indicate the denomination and course of arteries and veins of general circulation. Indicate the correspondence between coronary branches and irrigated myocardium areas. List the main lymph vessels and describe the main features of the lymphatic circulation. Describe macroscopic, topographic and microscopic anatomy of thyme, spleen and lymph nodes. Relate the radiographic, topographic and clinical anatomy of the chest. Describe the macroscopic, topographical and microscopic anatomy of the mouth and the largest salivary glands. Describe the macroscopic, topographic and microscopic anatomy of the digestive tract sections: pharynx, esophagus and stomach, duodenum, small intestine and large intestine. Describe macroscopic, topographical and microscopic anatomy of the liver, bile and pancreas. To illustrate the general organization of the peritoneum. Indicate the vessels of the splat circulation. To correlate radiographic, topographic, endoscopic and clinical anatomy of the food channel and abdomen. Describe macroscopic, topographic and microscopic airway anatomy: nose, nasal and paranasal cavities; Nasal mucosa; Larynx, trachea and bronchi. Describe macroscopic, topographical and microscopic anatomy of lung and pleura. To correlate the radiographic, topographic, endoscopic and clinical anatomy of the respiratory and lung pathologies. Describe the macroscopic, topographic and microscopic anatomy of the kidney and urinary tract. To correlate radiographic, topographic and clinical anatomy of kidney and urinary tract. Describe the macroscopic, topographic and microscopic anatomy of ovary, uterus, salping and female external genitalia. Relate radiographic, topographic and clinical anatomy. Of the female genital system. Describe macroscopic, topographic and microscopic testicle anatomy, genital pathologies, anterior glands, and male external genitals. To correlate the radiographic, topographic and clinical anatomy of the male genital organs. Describe macroscopic and topographic anatomy of endocrine glands: pituitary, thyroid and parathyroid, adrenal, endocrine pancreas and diffuse endocrine system. To correlate the radiological, topographic and clinical anatomy of the endocrine glands. Describe the macroscopic anatomy of skin and skin attachments. Describe the topographic and macroscopic breast anatomy.
