The exercise of the dental profession is necessarily inspired by the ethical principles of protecting and safeguarding the dignity of the person and respect for his freedom. Ethics therefore also involves the dentist through, for example, information and consent to surgical treatment, the protection of the child and the fragile patient.
The course aims to be the first step in the formation of a scientific and technological culture that is attentive to humanistic profiles. It offers students who are at the beginning of their course of study, the fundamental elements for a careful reflection of ethical aspects, in a perspective of health protection and "humanization" of medicine.
