Theoric frontal lessons

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

Physiology of the conscious state and pathophysiology of consciousness disturbances

 Approaching the patient with a disturbance of consciousness

 Principal structural and metabolic causes of coma. Urgent medical and surgical treatment of patients with specific disturbances of consciousness and their prognosis

 Approach to the diagnosis of brain death and the clinical physiology of vegetative state and minimally conscious state
