AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES (FURTHER INFO)

Students will be able to appreciate the richness of "babel Myth" linguistic confusion in the contemporary communication world, and the wide variety of outcomes that are coming from contact between people speaking different languages. They will distinguish between a automatic machine translation (and their advantages for cost and speed) and traditional human never ending interpretation travelling from text to text. They will know steps for second language learning.
