The General Pathology is a multidisciplinary science relating to human health: how and why it happens the health disturbance, it includes the molecular and cellular mechanisms that underlie the disease, ie etiopathogenesis.
The course aims to train experts in the field of science of nutrition and dietetics.
The course aims to provide a specific basis for basic materials needed for the student's education. The student will learn the fundamental skills necessary for the understanding of the biological basis of disease. Through the knowledge of General Pathology, essential for the understanding of the interventions not only therapeutic but also preventive.
Frontal lectures. The course consists of 10 hours of training activities, lectures on the topics of the program. It is required at least 75% of the hours of frontal lectures.

CANCER Metaplasia, dysplasia, anaplasia Classification and malignant characters staging systems and gradation chemical carcinogenesis, physical and biological Metabolism and activation of carcinogens Initiation, promotion, progression Invasiveness and metastasis Oncogenes and tumor suppressor Outline of tumor markers.

The assessment takes place only through the final exam which aims to ensure the effective acquisition by the student of the expected learning outcomes.
In order to pass the exam (vote of not less than 18/30) the student must demonstrate that:
- Know the principal topics
- Be able to reason by connecting the various topics,
- Demonstrate ability to transverse and critically deal with the required arguments;
- Adoption of appropriate terminology.
