The seminar explores fluid and electrolyte balance with reference to the normal physiology of body fluids and regulation of fluids and electrolytes. It also considers some conditions associated with fluid and electrolyte imbalance in chronic kidney disease and the important role of diet in fluid and electrolyte balance
The aims are to understand
the importance of water and electrolyte balance on body homeostasis and the nutrition strategies in imbalance.
in the seminar the students were actively involved through questions and proposals for consolidation
