The course of Clinical Pathology examines the study of the main characteristics of laboratory examinations and the meaning of some types of disease markers measurable in a clinical laboratory
The technological and organizational realities of a Central Laboratory are illustrated.
Provide the students with the fundamental elements about the main characteristics of laboratory examinations and the meaning of some of the main classes of diseases markers measurable in a clinical laboratory
Techniques of the various Laboratory Diagnostic Areas are provided .
Provide the students with the fundamental elements about the main characteristics of laboratory examinations (accuracy, precision, sensitivity, specificity etc) and about some of the main classes of diseases markers (e.g. inflammation markers, cell damage markers, tumour markers) measurable in a clinical laboratory

About Autoimmunity Laboratory Diagnostic Activities, Molecular Biology, Virology, Bacteriology, Chemistry, Immunometry, Hematology, Coagulation, Prenatal Risk, Hormones, Cytofluorimetry, Electrophoresis, Proteins, Urine. Presentation of laboratory work and instrumentation. Practical activity for running the endovene injection in synthetic skin simulation.

Written examination
The students will undergo a written multiple choice test, with about 35 questions, about all the subjects of the course. Each correct answer will give 1 point. No penalty will be applied for wrong answer. The punctuation will be converted proportionally in XX/30. With punctuations <18/30 the examination will not be approved.
