The General Surgery Course will enable the student to acquire basic notions of the main aspects of General Surgery, useful for Dentistry, by studying the possible relationships between the most frequent surgical and odontostomatological pathologies

Lessons, seminars, and discussion of clinical cases, with small groups training and access to the operating room, wards and outpatient clinics.

Lessons will continue throughout the semester on Wednesdays and Fridays (hour: 8-10)

The examination will take place by oral examination and with a score given in thirtieths (e.g., 30/30). This score, together with that of the quiz in Anesthesiology and Emergency Treatments and the score of Neurosurgery (oral exam), will be the result of the weighted average of the three partial exams.
Learning outcomes will be verified in relation to the ability to apply the acquired theoretical and practical knowledge, solve clinical problems, and the ability to communicate in an oral exam.
Attendance: mandatory
Basic knowledge in preparation: Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, General Pathology, Pathological Anatomy
Hours of Assisted Learning: Whole curriculum.
