From tha gastroenterological point of view, this course will deal with all digestive diseases, which represent an important, widespread and fundamental group of disorders due to secretive-motor dysfunctions, infections, chronic inflammation, genetic alterations and oncological problems
This course has the objective to teach the general aspects of the various diseases of the digestive tract, including liver and pancreas. The student must know the bases for doing a correct diagnostic approach and to formulate a right prognostic judgement of the digestive disorders. Some elements of therapy will be also given.
The student will know the essential features on the epidemiology, pathophysiology, diagnostic approach and prognosis of the various digestive, hepatic and pancreatic diseases.
The course will be based on frontal lessons and periods of practical teaching in small groups in the ward of the gastroenterology and hepatology unit of our hospital during 15 days each year
The student will learn the epidemiology, pathophysiology, pathology, clinical presentation, diagnosis and prognosis of digestive disorders, including also the hepatic and pancreatic ones. Some elements of therapy will be also given.
