The course of BLS is aimed to teach to recognize life-threatening (cardio-respiratory) emergencies and to activate techniques of basic life support with either adhults, or chindren, even using a defibrillator.
Learning basic life support techniques to face cardio-pulmonary emergencies with or without automated defibrillator, according with ILCOR guidelines, before the attival of advanced emergency unit.
The outcomes of the course are preparing personnel confident with techniques of basic life support with or without defibrillator. Students will be able to recognize signs of cardio-respiratory arrest and to activate the sequence of procedures to support life parameters (consciousness, ventilation, cardiac activity) in adhults and children, before the arrival of advanced emergency care personnel.

The exam is composed of a brief Interview about BLS theory, followed by practical exercitation
Students will be asked to recognize signs of cardio-pulmonary arrest and to initiate proper BLS procedures, according with age and conditions of patients.
