OVERVIEW

The statistical-health survey is the work method of epidemiology, that is, the inductive science whose task is to describe the distribution of diseases and above all to derive from this description of general knowledge.

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES (FURTHER INFO)

Starting from clinical considerations, it is possible to use another classification of the epidemiological approach, according to which there are 4 fields or sectors of investigation: Sector of known patients, ie affected by a given disease diagnosed through a diagnostic iter. Methodically, there is the definition of epidemiological inquiry as a data collection tool. Sectors of ignorant patients, ie affected by a given disease but not identified by diagnostic procedures: the purpose of epidemiological investigation is to ascertain the existence of such patients (dépistage or screening). Pre-clinical sector: the dépistage in this case aims to Highlight latent pathology with early diagnosis techniques. Sector of risk subjects, ie subjects who are not currently affected, but with a greater chance of getting sick than the rest of the population, as exposed to known risk factors.

TEACHING METHODS

The Webinar, also known as online seminar, is a neologism given by the merger of web and seminar terms, coined to identify educational or informational sessions whose participation, remotely, is possible through an internet connection. In Italian it is also known as an online seminar. The Webinar is used to conduct meetings, training sessions or presentations in which each participant accesses from their PC (including tablet or phone) and is connected to other participants via the Internet. Unlike Webcasts, Webinar is an interactive system where participants can interact with each other and with the seminar coordinator (Teacher) through the Tools such as: chat, audio and video chat, electronic whiteboards, etc., available in the web conference system.
