OVERVIEW

The course is devoted to the fundamentals of astrophysics and cosmology. 

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Basic astrophysics. Stellar physics and stellar evolution. Elements of General Relavitiy. Gravitational waves. Basics of astroparticle physics, solar neutrino detection. Elements of X ray astronomy. Foundations of cosmology. Big Bang. Nucleosynthesis. CMBR. 

PREREQUISITES

General Physics. Quantum Mechanics. Basics of nuclear and particle physics.
