Use of operational methods to solve differential equations. Formal representations and analysis of dynamic systems in the usual forms (external and internal). Definitions and use of structural properties of systems. The concept of feedback. TEACHING METHODS Frontal lessons. Classroom exercises. SYLLABUS/CONTENT Dynamic systems: types and representations. Generalized functions. Laplace transform: properties, rules, transformation and antitransformation, time limits theorems. Calculation of transition function for linear stationary systems represented in SISO external form. Transfer function, impulse response, frequency response. Feddback and the effect on the poles. Stability: structural, of the impulse response and BIBO. Internal representation and state variables: calculation of eAt and of transition function. Varous types of stability. Definitions of controllability and observability: criteria and conditions. Effects on the structural properties of the blocks connections and of the cancelations. Feedback and structural properties.
