OVERVIEW

The Course is designed to provide students a solid knowledge about Unit Operations through  the analysis of process for  Wastewater Treatments. 

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Criteria for understanding physical, chemical and biological phenomena involved in Wastewater treatments plants will be provided. Besides, criteria for sizinz and manage each Unit Operation will be discussed.

Lecture classroom Learning activities include problems that students have to resolve independently with the assistance of  the teacher

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

wastewater characterizatio; preliminary and primary treatment (collection; screening, grit removal, equalizaion sedimentation); Secondary treatment (Fundamental of biological process, activated Sludge process, MBR reactor etc.); Tertiary treatment; Solid Handling (sludge thickening, stabilizaton, dewatering)
