OVERVIEW

The course is focused on the scientific identity of General Pedagogy and, more specifically, the epistemological statute of this science.

For the Course of "Laurea Magistrale in Scienze della Formazione Primaria", it includes a Laboratory (1 CFU) that is part of the course.

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The course has, as main purposes, the acquisition of scientific-epistemological knowledges related to General Pedagogy, with a particular attention to logics, contents and languages through which the research dimension of this science is organized.

For the Course of "Laurea Magistrale in Scienze della Formazione Primaria", the specific objectives of the Kindergarten School consist in a deepening of the pedagogical practices, with a particular attention to the educational and formational dimensions involved in the first years of life.
The specific objectives of the Primary School consist in an investigation focused on the relation between training and schooling, such as education, teaching and learning.

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

The acquisition of appropriate knowledges in order to recognize the epistemological criteria of General Pedagogy is finalized to improve the process of comprehension regarding the problematic correlation between theory and practice in pedagogy.
A deep elaboration of the knowledges is finalized to improve processes of thinking useful in addressing problems regarding training, schooling, teaching and learning, connected with the didactical dimension.
 

Course of "Scienze Pedagogiche e dell'Educazione"

The acquisition of appropriate knowledges in order to recognize the epistemological criteria of General Pedagogy is finalized to improve the process of comprehension regarding the problematic correlation between theory and practice in pedagogy. This in order to also achieve a deep knowledge regarding the categorical structure of pedagogy and the necessary semantic skills to operate within the pedagogical framework.

TEACHING METHODS

Lectures are conducted in presence of the Professor and they are, predominantly, frontal. Within the course, group activities and seminars can be provided.

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

The program of the course will consist, mainly, in the following contents:bvthe fundamental questions of epistemological debate in pedagogy; the topics of the contemporary pedagogical debate; the heuristic assumptions of the Clinique Pedagogy; the problem of Bildung and its origins.

Non-attending students have to make a written paper, which has to be agreed with the Professor and delivered, at least, one month before the exam. In addition to the four texts indicated above, non-attending students also have to study the following volume:

EXAM DESCRIPTION

It is written.

ASSESSMENT METHODS

The written exam is finalized to verify the acquired knowledge by the students and their critical capabilities in the elaboration of the learned contents. In order to this, the exam, lasting 45 minutes, is structured into a small number of open questions. During the time of the exam, students can consult the texts in the program. Students have to attend the exam with the program of the current academic year, even if they are enrolled in previous academic years.
If the exam is “not passed”, the students will have to attend the exam again in the same manner.
For non-attending students, the exam procedures are the same.<

Also in the academic year 201-2018, “The Seminar of General Pedagogy” will continue to be done. For more than ten years, it usually takes place every last Thursday of the month – except for periods of academic holidays –.
