"The course provides the student with the basis for the design and development of man-machine interfaces and advanced software systems, based on interaction through multiple sensory channels and on the processing and communication of audio and video content. Ability to design and develop an interactive multimodal system. Knowledge of the main techniques for extracting motion, gesture and facial expression descriptors from video signal. Knowledge of the main techniques for extracting spoken, prose, sound and music descriptors from the audio signal. Knowledge and ability to use software platforms for the development of interactive multimodal systems.
