OVERVIEW

The course will provide basic knowledge in sociology and social research methodology in order to enable students to analyze specific aspects of turism supply and demand and to develop projects in tourism, coordinating the sociological perspective with the economic, psychological and geographical one.

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Sociology of tourism aims to provide a basic understanding of the concepts and methods underlying sociological knowledge and develop in particular two insights. The first is the methodology of social research, necessary for proper use of research and existing databases, either to set themselves specific field research activities, especially using the web. The second concerns the ability to design and develop a project, starting with a problem that you want to solve or an opportunity that you would like to take. This second study will be conducted in connection with the teaching of economy and management of tourism enterprises (Prof.ssa Clara Benevolent) and the project work will be spent on both teachings

Oral examination.

Students can prepare a project work on a subject of their choice, with the agree of professors of Sociology of tourism and economy and management of tourism enterprises, which can lead to the a supplementary score for the to two examinations, from a minimum of 0 to a maximum of 3 marks.

ASSESSMENT METHODS
