OVERVIEW

The course is divided in two parts. Students will follow practical French language lessons during the 1st semester (40 hours).  In the second semester, “Modulo teorico” lessons (36 hours) will concentrate on lexical, morphosyntaxical and phonetic difficulties for Italian speakers and speakers of other languages belonging to the class

Course description

The course is divided in two parts. Students will follow practical French language lessons during the 1st semester (40 hours).  In the second semester, “Modulo teorico” lessons (36 hours) will concentrate on lexical, morphosyntaxical and phonetic difficulties for Italian speakers and speakers of other languages belonging to the class.

In the second part, the central theme will be tourism publicity

All the lessons will be contextualized in a touristic setting, through the use of authentic material (especially websites).

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

 “Modulo teorico” lessons (36 hours) will concentrate on

  1. Types of Tourism advertising (storytelling, network) 
  2. Relationship between text and image
  3. Linguistics analysis of tourism advertising (slogan, ecc) 
  4. rhetorical argumentative strategies 
  5. Cultural stereotypes in tourism advertising

The course bibliography will be given at the beginning of the course and published on Aulaweb.

ASSESSMENT METHODS

Oral exam will test oral production and specific knowledge and abilities acquired during the second part of the course. Students will be required to prepare an individual or group work.
