The course aims to presents main computer science principles and technologies and to improve students skills related to the use of software tools useful for their future job.
The course aims at providing the basic principles and technologies of Computer Science (e.g. hardware, software and computer networks), with practical aspects represented by use of an operative system (and in particular the file management); the use of a word processing application for creating and formatting documents, and the legal information retrieval via Internet and the World Wide Web service (i.e. offline and online databases, especially the CED of the Corte Suprema di Cassazione, the databases of the Italian Parliament, the Istituto Poligrafico dello Stato and the European Union will be considered).

• A practical test on the usage of a wor processor or a spreadsheet
Students that acquired the ECDL can take just an oral exam
