The Second World War, with its tens of millions of deaths, the extermination camps, the explosion of the atomic bomb, is a true watershed in the history of international relations of the twentieth century. Since 1945, with the defeat of Nazi-fascism, a new page has started in the history of humanity. The course will cover the main events of the twentieth century (Cold War, decolonization, globalization, the collapse of the USSR, the clash of civilizations, etc.) to the present day.

Provide students the analytical tools needed to understand the dynamics of international politics, foster a critical approach to events, teach to conduct research with scientific methodology and rigor.
The course includes 24 two-hour lectures; during the lectures slides will be projected, documents distributed, discussions organized. Attending students will also present individual research on lesson topics.
