The course will be focused to study the main pharmacological strategies used to modulate the neurochemical and behavioral responses to affect the pathogenetic mechanisms of the main CNS diseases. Module “Neuropathology”: The aim of the course is to present and discuss the neuropathology of the most common disorders of the central nervous system , such as Parkinson disease and Multiple Sclerosis. Moreover the animal models of multiple sclerosis, experimental allergic encephalomyelitis and of genetic disease of the peripheral nervous system will be presented. TEACHING METHODS Frontal lessons.
