OVERVIEW

This module will provide students with the essential background to understand the mechanics of human movement from both modeling and experimental points of view. 

AIMS AND CONTENT

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

At the end of this course, students will: 

1. know the tools and main equipment used for quantitative study of human movements

2. know the mechanical behaviour of muscles

3. be able to apply the laws of mechanics (kinematics, statics, dynamics) to simple sport-related movements (jumps, throws, locomotion)
