AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Collecting and organising the clinical data necessary for the anamnesis, integrating them with the objective (signs) in order to define and interpret clinical problems, with the awareness of personal and others' values; applying correctly the methodology for detect semiotic, functional and laboratory evidences, interpreting them critically even in terms of physiopathology, in order to frame them in the overall clinical presentation, of the diagnosis and prognosis.

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

Registration of medical data: medical record. Traditional and by problem anamnesis, brief anamnesis. Anamnesis of the psychosocial context. Adjustment of clinical decisions according to specific conditions of the subject, with focus on the elderly. Family tree, family and fisiological anamnesis, remote pathological anamnesis, forthcoming pathologic anamnesis. Clinical diagnosis and its relations with prognosis. Classification of pathological events in active or inactive health issues. Use of formal genetics in the diagnosis of the most frequent diseases. Meaning and clinical benefit of metanalysis and systematic revisions. Guidelines: principles and use.  Clinical and instrumental diagnostic procedures for the evaluation of clinical problems, organs and apparatus. Clinical case studies and techniques. Clinical examination. Integration between anamnesis and objective examination. General scheme, structure and methodological approach to objective examination. Visceral and somatic pain. Chest, abdominal, root pain; migrains. Loss of conscience; comatose states and their grades; syncope, lipotimia,  sleep-vigil state alterations.
