AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES The objective of this module is that of providing the necessary knowledge for design, optimization and performance analysis of logistic systems (including industrial logistic systems). At the end of the course, the student will be able to analyze and formalize problems relevant to the design of logistic systems, by properly identifying the various terms of the objetive function to be optimized, the decision variables, and the problem constraints. TEACHING METHODS Lectures and computer exercises (in the classroom). SYLLABUS/CONTENT Basic concepts relevant to design and analysis of logistic systems (including industrial logistics). Logistic network planning. Route planning. Supply chain management. Inventory management and control. RECOMMENDED READING/BIBLIOGRAPHY The notes of the course will be made available to the students. They will include several bibliographical references. TEACHERS AND EXAM BOARD RICCARDO MINCIARDI Ricevimento: It is possible to meet the professor, on request, at different times.
