The course introduces to the knowledge of corporate lending and investment banking. Students will deepen credit risk management issues, balance sheet analysis, corporate valuation and the features of financial services to businesses
The course has the following objectives: understanding the articulation of corporate and investment banking activities; deepening the phases of the corporate financing process; illustrating the characteristics of the different ways of corporate financing according to the life cycle phase that they undergo; analyzing and evaluating companies in view of a financing operation.
At the end of the course students will be able to: - identify the most suitable financing operations to meet the financial needs of a company - assess the profitability, liquidity, solvency and soundness of a company, taking the view of a potential investor - present a company to potential investors
