CODE 67629 ACADEMIC YEAR 2018/2019 CREDITS 8 cfu anno 5 SCIENZE DELLA FORMAZIONE PRIMARIA 9322 (LM-85 bis) - GENOVA SCIENTIFIC DISCIPLINARY SECTOR M-STO/04 LANGUAGE Italian TEACHING LOCATION GENOVA SEMESTER 1° Semester TEACHING MATERIALS AULAWEB OVERVIEW The teaching, from a laboratory perspective, will examine the methodologies and tools related to the teaching of history, in particular of contemporary history: during the lessons examined various types of sources (oral, written, iconographic, audiovisual, material) and highlighted the specific characteristics and educational potential. The elaboration and realization of specific didactic itineraries is foreseen. AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES The course will allow students to orientate themselves and critically reflect on the teaching methods for teaching history in the nursery and primary school; in particular, reflect critically on the dimension of temporality, and its transmission AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES The course will allow students to orientate themselves and reflect critically on the teaching methods for teaching history in the nursery and primary school; in particular, on the dimension of temporality, and on the transmission of historical memory, intended as a preparatory tool for the development of active citizenship. Nursery school: acquisition of the ability to understand the passage of time and the historical dimension of events and the past Primary school: acquisition of the ability to understand events in a historical perspective, ie critical - albeit at an elementary level -, as well as an eventuality PREREQUISITES Basics of history TEACHING METHODS The teaching consists of lectures, for a total of 54 hours. Multimedia supports will be used and specific workshop lessons are planned on historical sources and their use in a didactic key. The educational offer can be integrated with the participation in the workshop "Popular writing as a source for contemporary history" (25 hours of which 8 consisting of lectures and 17 working independently) The laboratory, connected to the course of Theory of historical knowledge, aims to provide the methodological tools useful for the analysis of popular scripts and their use as educational material and source for the history of events and processes of the contemporary age, with particular reference to the so-called subjective diary, epistolary and memorial writing. Students will be able to know and analyze typologies of writing related to contexts and experiences of migration, war and imprisonment, scholastic and childhood, and learn to have a critical approach to historical documents. Contents: The workshop will be organized on four meetings for two hours each, for a total of 8 hours. The meetings will serve to define the main methodological issues, the definitions of "popular writing", the protagonists and the fields of writing production in the contemporary age. Will be illustrated the main places of conservation and collection of daily scriptures, public and private, in Italy and in Europe, and reference studies. Students will practice on selections of documents, in original and in digital copy, kept in the Ligurian Archive of the popular writing of DISFOR and will be able to independently develop works of counting, transcription and analysis concerning some types of documents. Product / work to be carried out in the 17 hours at a distance: Students are required to produce a short report on a selection of documents, freely chosen from those illustrated and used during the meetings. Places available: to be define SYLLABUS/CONTENT Particular attention will be given to the public use of history, deepening the relationship between history and memory (collective and subjective). The problem of historical sources, both quantitative and qualitative, their presence on the territory and the methods of treatment and analysis, will be the focus of teaching: the sources represent not only the materials favored by the historian, but effective educational tools are revealed usable , with due care, in all school orders.
