Geography educates to place itself in a relational space where every single path is part of interactions between natural, socio-cultural, economic and political systems. The spatial dimension must be interpreted as a cultural mediator oriented towards the development of relations with the environment, the territory and societies. The course is divided into two modules: Didactics of Geography and Geography of Italy and Europe.
The main purpose of the teaching is to make the students understand that geography is:
- the discipline that studies the relationship between man and the environment and their evolution over time,
- it is a discipline that is not merely descriptive but explanatory and interpretative,
- is critical knowledge of reality and study of territorial problems and possible solutions.
