OVERVIEW

The aim of the course is to guide the future educator providing her or him with tools and methods to carry out an analysis of the formative need as well as to plan a path of offer, to build the didactics units in sequence utilizing also multimedia materials and to be able to organize the lecture-room and the management of the group and of the teachers.

To carry out the role of the educator tutor, to utilize the instruments to evaluate the well-being and learning of the participants, to report the results to the customer/client.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

To know the Italian formation system and value the implications for the professionalism of the formation process expert. To analyse the sphere of the formation function practice and evaluate the procedures with which they influence the role of the educator (expected results, activities, connections, competences).

 

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

1. To know the formation Italian market and the financed formation;

2. To be able to make an analysis of the formation request and to know how to draw up a formation project;

3. To be able to set the lecture-room and the formation path with the available resources;

4. To know and to be able to use multimedia materials for the didactics of the lecture-room;

5. To be able to use the instruments of evaluation of the lecture-room, of the learning and of the well-being of the participants;

6. To be able to recognize an organizational climate of the classroom and know how to intervene in it appropriately;

7. To be able to synthesize the result of the formative process to the referent and correlate the results with the original request.

TEACHING METHODS

The first part of the course develops in frontal lessons with a constant attention to stimulate clarification and close examination requests. The theoretical supply includes slides, theoretical reports, exemplifications and events.

In the second part the students are involved in practical exercises and small team works on the different themes. Following a methodological guideline they will develop a business case or the delivery of a formative activity. These activities are aimed to activate the students on the contents of the course and give them a feedback on the understanding and interpretation of the topics discussed. This work will be completed with comparisons in FaD (Formation at distance) modality and the accomplished product will be an integral part of the exam.

CONTENTS:

 

First part

-  Introductory reflections on the formation of the adult

-  The attention to the person

-  Individual and group

-  The functioning of a group

-  Group and organisation.

Second part

-  The request of formation and the analysis of the needs

-  Organization and planning of the formation path

-  Didactics and lecture-rooms organization

Third part

-  Human dimensions in the formation: learning, attention, memory, emotional learning, rational, recreational

-  Running and management of the lecture-room group; sharing, indifference, pedagogical conflict.

-  Functioning modalities of a learning group

-  Group dynamics and relationship in a group

-  Learning in circumstances of traditional teacher up front lesson, laboratory, intragroup and among groups practical exercise.

Fourth part

-  Instruments to deliver formation and lecture-room management

-  Multimedia simple products

-  Practice in pairs, small groups, case history, assessment.

-  The leader’s and the tutor’s instruments and tools.

Fifth part

-  The formative intervention evaluation

-  The evaluation of the lecture-room climate and of the well-being of participants

-  Individual and group learning evaluation

Sixth part

-  Reporting of a formation process with a final account for the client

-  Guided tours and taking part in formation projects (free individual choice of the participants)

EXAM DESCRIPTION

The exam discussion, for the course attendants, deals with the material used in the lessons and on the two volumes shown in the bibliography for parts A and B

For the non-attendants the material of discussion is integrated with a third volume shown in part C of the bibliography

ASSESSMENT METHODS

The exam score is divided in three parts each with different points:

part A: 12 points,

part B: 10 points

part C: 8 points.

The sum of these scores makes up the exam mark.
