Combination of traditional lectures (80 hours) and practice at the computer activities (16 hours)
"Illustration of various structural types for bridges or viaducts according to the length of the span, the intended use of (road / rail) building system (concrete, steel-concrete composite system, orthotropic steel deck). Detailed analysis of the design process of steel-concrete composite girder for bridges and viaducts, as the most common type: Transversal distribution of loads and influence line. Definition of the structural sections according to design parameters, construction parameters and assembly. Choice of connection system in place. Definition of design details and executive details of the reinforced concrete slabs and orthotropic steel deck Analysis of the design and construction criteria of arch bridges. Design criteria of supporting structures, piers and abutments. Examples of project to be implemented with a calculation report and graphic designs."

The final examination will consist an oral test on the course contents and an imaging elaboration project
