OVERVIEW

The teaching aims to provide technical and methodological knowledge that allows you to perform a detailed project of the building envelope based on the sustainable design principles in a digital BIM system (Building Information Modeling). The main themes are: sustainability, environmental quality, applicability in the construction sector; detailed technological solutions; elaboration of the main drawings of the building envelope in BIM.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The teaching aims to provide students with the technical and methodological knowledge that will allow them to perform a detailed project of the building envelope based on the principles of sustainable design in BIM (Building Information Modeling). Knowledge required by the construction sector in the contemporary national and international context.

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

The Sustainable Project Digitisation teaching is structured to provide students with the following skills:

- knowledge of the meaning of climate change and the consequent principles of sustainability and sustainable development in the construction sector;

- knowledge of "traditional" and innovative technologies useful for achieving the environmental, social and economic objectives of sustainable development in the construction sector;

- ability to understand, analyse and design building elements and entire buildings in which the achievement of sustainable development objectives becomes essential;

- ability to understand and execute the basic graphic representations of a detailed project of the building envelope in BIM (Building information Modeling), in terms of technological solutions and characteristics required in a sustainable project (environmental, social and economic characteristics).

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

The discipline of Digitization of sustainable project is investigated in its main aspects:

- Environment and construction;

- Sustainable development;

- Principles of sustainable design (environmental, typological and detailed technical-constructive);

- Sustainable building materials;

- Elements for sustainable construction;

- Requirements and performances for sustainable construction;

- Review of the basics of two-dimensional design in the Autodesk - Autocad;

- Application of the BIM (Building Information Modeling) method to sustainable design; in particular, the modeling on Autodesk Revit 2017

- Application of all the above arguments to a design of the building envelope in BIM.
