AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES The course aims to provide students with the basis on the morphological, anatomical and ethological of terrestrial Arthropoda (Arachnida, Miriapoda and Hexapoda) and Tetrapoda. The morphological evolutionary approach, related to the genetic-molecular one, should enable students to develop critical and analytical skills, which are useful for future investigation and personal research. TEACHING METHODS Lectures using power point presentations; discussion of cases taken from recent scientific literature; identification in the field of terrestrial animals. SYLLABUS/CONTENT Mod 1 - Arachnida, Miriapoda (Chilopoda, Diplopoda, Pauropoda and Symphila) and Hexapoda: systematics and analysis of anatomy, morphology, life cycles and eco-ethology from an evolutionary point of view. Mod 2 - Tetrapoda: systematics and analysis of anatomy, morphology, life cycles and eco-ethology from an evolutionary point of view.
