AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

COURSE OBJECTIVES

-  To introduce the fundamental concepts of Pedagogy.

- To provide students with basic pedagogical skills on the formation, education, instruction of individuals in situations of fragility, vulnerability, distress, suffering.

- To reflect with students on the role and pedagogical issue concerning the main institutions and socio-educational agencies

LEARNING OUTCOMES

At the end of the class, the student will be able to:

- Know the fundamental concepts of pedagogy

- Possess the general criteria for preparing specific educational actions with individuals in situations of fragility, vulnerability, distress, suffering

- Reflect personally on the critical elements that characterize the main institutions and socio-educational agencies

TEACHING METHODS

Dialogic lessons with presentation of themes followed by discussion and in-depth study

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

- Pedagogy as a science of formation, education, instruction

- Formation and de-formation.

- Dialogic and cooperative dimension in the educational process.

- Pedagogical concept of care for subjects in condition of fragility, vulnerability, distress, suffering.

- Problems concerning institutions and agencies of socio-educational nature
