Knowing how to design tutors, garments and orthoses, specific to the various body areas, characterized by its own technical and morphofunctional peculiarity, in relation to the main neurological and orthopedic diseases. To know the problems inherent in the processing systems of the specific products for the various health fields, with particular reference to the properties of the materials used and of the treatment techniques.
The teaching aims to teach to design tutors, garrisons and orthoses, specific to the various body districts, characterized by its own technical and morphofunctional peculiarity, in relation to the main neurological and orthopedic diseases and to know the problems inherent in the processing systems of the specific products for the various health fields, with particular reference to the properties of the materials used and of the treatment techniques. At the end of the course, the student will be able to know the anatomy and biomechanics of the spine, recognize the pathologies also from the symptoms, critically evaluate the best type of orthosis that can apply, design and build the orthoses for the spine and explain in a clear and simple way the methodology of use and the exposition of the orthosis treatment
