The general knowledge of respiratory pathophysioloy is essential to correctly interpret signs, symptoms and instrumental evaluations in cardiovascular diseases. AIMS AND CONTENT AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES Main objectives are: 1) to know the functions of the respiratory system, including structure, ventilation and gas exchange, plus the measurement techniques of these functions. This in the specific framework of cardiovascular diseases. 2) to aquire the essential skill for the interpretation of clinical and instrumental assessments.
