The aim of the teaching is the study of Italian Constitutional Law and fundamental principles of Italian Administrative Law.
The main goal of Public Law is to provide a thorough knowledge of Italian Constitutional Law and fundamental principles of Administrative Law.
The teaching provides the basic skills for the study of the other legal subjects taught in the three-year degree Courses in International and Diplomatic Sciences and in Political Sciences and Administration.
It is also linked to non-legal teachings of both Courses (see especially those taught in the first year such as History of Political Doctrines, Sociology and Contemporary History), contributing to the interdisciplinary education of students.
At the end of the teaching the students of International and Diplomatic Sciences (10 CFU) will be able:

60 (SID) / 72 (SPA) hours of lectures given by the professor of the teaching and by experts invited to deepen specific topics (judges, professors of other universities, members of Institutions and public bodies, etc. ...).
In addition to the main Public Law teaching, FOREIGN students (not Italian native speakers who have not carried out any education cycle in Italy) and ERASMUS will be given the possibility to attend a "special teaching" focusing on the use of Italian language in Public Law.
Students are kindly recommended to register on Aulaweb. All informations, teaching materials and exam results will be uploaded there.

1) Students who will attend 70% of lectures, will prepare the exam: a) on the lecture notes; b) on the book A. Barbera - C. Fusaro, Corso di diritto pubblico, Il Mulino, last ed. 2) Students who will not attend 70% of lectures will prepare the exam: a) on the book A. Barbera - C. Fusaro, Corso di diritto pubblico, Il Mulino, last ed.; b) on texts uploaded on Aulaweb during the teaching. 3) Students who do not have an adequate knowledge of the Italian language (Erasmus and other foreigners) will prepare the exam on the book T. Groppi - A. Simoncini, Introduzione al diritto pubblico e alle sue fonti, Giappichelli, last. ed.
All programs require a careful reading of the Italian Constitution (it can be downloaded from www.quirinale.it).
Ricevimento: It is possible to meet the Professor every Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. (by appointment by email) at DISPO, Albergo dei Poveri (Piazzale E. Brignole 3a), Central Tower, floor 3B, room 70. If necessary, days and times other than those indicated above can be agreed with the Professor. During lessons' time (second semester) it is possible to meet the Professor at the end of each lesson (by appointment by email).

Lessons will start and end in the second semester (see the time schedule on DISPO website).
The exam is written (three questions to be answered in 1 hour, differentiated between attending and non-attending students). Students who will pass the written exam can ask to take an integrative oral exam (with which they will improve or worsen the mark achieved in the written exam): it will take place on the day and at the time indicated on the day of the written exam. If the student does not wish to take the supplementary oral exam, the exam is concluded with the written exam.
Students who do not have an adequate knowledge of the Italian language (Erasmus and other foreigners) can take the oral exam and, if needed, they can take it in English.
The Examining Board is made up of the Professor of the teaching together with Public Law scholars approved by the Department Council.
The Examining Board will evaluate the consistency and completeness of the answers, the correct use of legal language and the ability to make connections among different topics of Public Law.
Frequency and the active participation during the lessons will also be evaluated.
Students must remember to enroll for the exam.
