The Course approaches the knowledge of flora and vegetation as fundamental elements of habitat formation. It can be known, defined and mapped. The current methods are presented in order to conserve habitats to keep them intact and to implement restoration methods. Flora and vegetation are excellent tools for environmental monitoring, achievable through different techniques on a case-by-case basis.

Oral exam. The exam is aimed at assessing the knowledge of the fundamental elements of the subject, the ability to link the various topics and the mastery of the applicative aspects.
Regular attendance is strongly recommended especially for field exercises.
