Standards concerning the stability and buoyancy, the leak problem, the rolling movement and stabilisation means, speed effects on the stability.
the course will enalble the capabilities to:
- design ships (especially passenger ships) in compliance with the most important international rules about buoyancy and stability of ships both in intact and damaged conditions
- calculate the final equilibrium condition and the relevan stability of a ship in damged condition
