The course will provide the main mathematical tools needed to address the next university courses.
The main aim of the course is to provide students with the basic mathematical tools used in other topics studied in the Department of Economics and Business. Contents: - sets, sets of numbers, the concept of function. - Real functions of a real variable: limits, continuity, derivatives and differentials, the study of functions. Real functions of more variables: introduction. - Indefinite integral, definite integral, improper integrals.
Teaching will be done by treating the various topics starting from the basic knowledge of new student from schools of different types. This approach is aimed at encouraging learning.
The course will be taught through traditional lectures supplemented by exercises.
Sets, sets of numbers, the concept of function.
Real functions of a real variable: limits, continuity, derivatives and differentials, the study of functions.
Real functions of more variables: introduction. - Indefinite integral, definite integral, improper integrals.
Textbooks will be eventually given at the beginning of the lessonsand on aulaweb.
