The teaching includes the study of Italian Constitutional Law and fundamental principles of Administrative Law.
The learning outcomes are the knowledge of Italian Constitutional Law and fundamental principles of Italian Administrative Law.
The main learning outcomes of the Public Law course is to provide a thorough knowledge of Italian Constitutional Law and fundamental principles of Administrative Law.
The teaching provides the basic skills for the study of the other legal subjects taught in the three-year degree Course in Political Sciences and Administration.
It is also linked to non-legal teachings of the Course (see especially those taught in the first year such as History of Political Doctrines, Sociology and Contemporary History), contributing to the interdisciplinary education of students.
At the end of the teaching the students will be able:
72 hours of lectures given by the Professor of the teaching and by experts invited to deepen specific topics (judges, professors of other universities, members of Institutions and public bodies, etc. ...).
In addition to the main Public Law teaching, FOREIGN students (non-Italian native speakers who have not completed an education cycle in Italy) and ERASMUS will be given the possibility to attend a set of lessons focusing on the use of Italian language in the framework of Public Law. These lessons don't substitute the main course, but are only addressed to give an help to foreign students.

Public law (12 CFU) for Political Sciences and Administration students includes the study of the following topics:
1) Students who will attend 70% of lectures, will prepare the exam: a) on the lecture notes integrated by the book A. Barbera - C. Fusaro, Corso di diritto pubblico, Il Mulino, last ed. (2018)
2) Students who will not attend 70% of lectures will prepare the exam: a) on the book A. Barbera - C. Fusaro, Corso di diritto pubblico, Il Mulino, last ed. (2018)
3) Students who do not have an adequate knowledge of the Italian language (Erasmus and other foreigners non-Italian native speakers who have not carried out any education cycle in Italy) will prepare the exam on the book T. Groppi - A. Simoncini, Introduzione al diritto pubblico e alle sue fonti, Giappichelli, last. ed.
All programs require a careful reading of the Italian Constitution (it can be downloaded from www.quirinale.it).
Ricevimento: Prof. Arianna Pitino receives students every Tuesday from 9,30 a.m. to 11 p.m. (an appointment by email is recommended) at DISPO, Albergo dei Poveri (Piazzale E. Brignole 3a), Central Tower, floor 3B, room 70. If necessary, meetings with students can be arranged in days and times different from those indicated above. During teaching time (second semester) it is possible to talk with the Professor at the end of each lesson. Due to COVID-19 Emergency meetings with students take place through the platform TEAM.

The Examining Board is made up of the Professor of the teaching together with Public Law scholars approved by the Department Council.
The Examining Board will evaluate the consistency and completeness of the answers, the correct use of legal language and the ability to make connections among different topics of Public Law.
Frequency and the active participation during the lessons will be evaluated.
Students must enroll before the exam.
