CODE 104364 ACADEMIC YEAR 2020/2021 CREDITS 6 cfu anno 2 TEORIE E TECNICHE DELLA MEDIAZIONE INTERLINGUISTICA 8741 (L-12) - GENOVA SCIENTIFIC DISCIPLINARY SECTOR L-LIN/05 TEACHING LOCATION GENOVA SEMESTER 2° Semester TEACHING MATERIALS AULAWEB OVERVIEW The course introduces the history of Spanish culture and literature between the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, with particular reference to the literary production of the so-called "Edad de plata" of Spanish literature (1898-1939), and therefore the generations of '98, of ' 14 and '27. AIMS AND CONTENT AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES Through course attendance and individual study, the student: - knows the evolution of the history of Spanish literature from the late nineteenth to the early twentieth century. - can read and translate the literary texts - is able to contextualize a literary work or a text - can comment and analyze a literary text from the period studied - will know the literary epochs and the historical-political and cultural contexts in which they developed - will know how to relate the great European cultural currents to the works and authors studied. TEACHING METHODS 36 hours of lectures in spanish, individual study of the books in the bibliography, study of the material offered on aulaweb. Particular emphasis will be given to reading, commenting and analyzing the proposed texts. Unless otherwise indicated due to the evolution of the health situation, the course will take place in traditional (presidential) mode. SYLLABUS/CONTENT Modernism and '98 (Miguel de Unamuno, Ramón María del Valle Inclán, Pío Baroja, Antonio Machado) “Novecentismo”, avant-garde and the generación of '14 (Juan Ramón Jiménez, José Ortega y Gasset, Ramón Gómez de la Serna). The generation of '27, the Republic and the Civil War (Federico García Lorca, Rafael Alberti, José Moreno Villa, Pedro Salinas, Luis Cernuda, Vicente Aleixandre, Dámaso Alonso, Miguel Hernández).
