AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES At the end of the course the student has acquired the fundamental notions for the assessment of safety and security aspects in the context of transport systems through the application of different alternative methodologies. TEACHING METHODS The course takes place in a classroom. During the lessons, the professor shows slides (which are made available to the students through Aulaweb, in general before the lesson) on the various topics of the course and, in some cases, he uses the blackboard to explain in detail sono specific contents. ASSESSMENT METHODS The student's assessment is carried out through an oral test in which the student is asked to illustrate (on the blackboard) the theoretical topics of the course and to solve (on the blackboard) some exercises. The student must demonstrate that he/she has acquired a sufficient knowledge of the topics illustrated in class and that he/she is able to solve simple problems of modeling and analysis of transport systems from the safety and security points of view.
