The "Video-Graphics" course proposes disciplinary themes of a theoretical and cultural nature and presents some of the most advanced and innovative technical-methodological procedures for the realization of audio-visual product.
The module intends to provide the main technical and critical information to face project-related video-related questions, such as animations, audiovisual media, starting from the representation of the concept up to the time of the shooting and of the final compositional phase.
Through theoretical-cultural and technical-methodological topics, we want to achieve a level of training in which the acquired skills are functional to the expression of a mature design that is first and foremost an intellectual and cultural action, and a research and experimentation upon content audiovisual language.
The Video-Graphics course develop a “mixed didactics “ -frontal and applicative- with the aim of providing theoretical-technical knowledge and their immediate application.
The Video-Graphics Course is divided into two complementary thematic sections: one of these intends to highlight some of the main cultural references of the discipline; the other one is oriented to develop some of the most advanced and innovative technical-methodological procedures For the realization of audio-visual product.
The theoretical and technical topics of the course are mainly related to the following topics: dynamic image story, audiovisual lexicon bases, methods for analyzing audiovisual texts, basic elements of editing and audiovisual language, image acquisition systems, Animation techniques, editing and compositing.

The assessment of the acquired knowledge takes place through the evaluation of the projects and of their presentation.
In particular, it is verified: the level of technical-linguistic competence related to the design, development and communication of the project; The methodological rigor and the theoretical-cultural references expressed in the project and described in the oral presentation.
