OVERVIEW

The laboratory is divided into two half-yearly modules.

The first module develops the following topics: Advanced design: urban mobility and micro mobility; the case study of public (and private) public transport vehicles with low environmental impact and easy accessibility; state of the art, technical and ergonomic constraints, different applications.

The second module is oriented towards the study of design for one of the various possible event scenarios. Physical aspects of set-up and logistical aspects of communication and process management.

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Product Design 2: Knowledge of the type of object, handmade representation and sizing, geometric and technological implementation, digital development and presentation.

Design of Event 2: Knowledge of case studies, assessment of strengths and weaknesses, definition of objectives, ideation of project solutions, discussion of collective assessment, definition of the project.

PREREQUISITES

Product Design 2: the student must learn to know and recognize the complexity of the object of study, must metabolize the ergonomic and technological aspects; by working in a group he must learn to define a scale of priorities to follow for the definition of the project and carry out the deliveries of definition and presentation of the work operating with the handsketching and the digital implementation (3D modeling and rendering) indicated for the circumstances.

Design of Event 2: the student must understand the specificity of the case study he will develop; must be aware of the social reach and the temporal extension. Must gain knowledge related to the economic commitment and return of utility of his project. Must have the full ability to work in a team and understand their roles. He must be able to illustrate and present his project.

EXAM DESCRIPTION

The exam consists of the presentation in the classroom of the monographic work developed over the semesters. Each group will comment a series of project-description slides. During the presentation, the projection of a short video (of up to 60 seconds) that illustrates and highlights the key points of the project is also appropriate.

It is also required the preparation of a vertical A1 size poster and a book in which the whole project development experience is present.

ASSESSMENT METHODS

Evaluation of completeness, quality of content and graphic properties of the products edited and displayed in the verification phase.

Assessment of the completeness, quality of the contents and linguistic property of the oral exposure of the candidates during the presentation.
