    OVERVIEW

The course is divided into theoretical lessons to present students with the basic principles of the representation of digital images, through the use of the main processing software. The course includes computer laboratory activities following theoretical lessons with particular attention to the cognitive approach of digital tools for the processing and graphic production of digital images and illustrations through photo editing, photomontage, animation, cinemagraph.

    AIMS AND CONTENT

    LEARNING OUTCOMES

TThe course contents focus on the construction and manipulation of digital bitmap and vector images using the main tools of computer graphics such as Photoshop for bitmap images, Illustrator for vector illustrations and Indesign for the layout of books, magazines, brochures, posters.

    AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

The course aims to bring students closer to the world of visual communication through an overview of the basic tools for the communication of ideas and projects capable of interacting with the world of graphics and able to provide the tools and methods necessary to organize, memorize, elaborate vector images and bitmaps. The training objectives concern the acquisition of knowledge for adequate and functional visual and graphic communication, through the creation, processing and layout and development of graphic projects from their conception to the digital processing of correct communication of the idea as a result of learning.

    TEACHING METHODS

The course is divided into theoretical lessons and computer lab assisted exercises, aimed at verifying and completing the operational and methodological contents introduced in the lessons with particular reference to the topics ranging from photo editing and photomontage of bitmap images, to the elaboration of vector illustrations and logos to the editorial typography of books, brochures, magazines, posters, up to the animation of the images.
