Geography educated to place itself in a relational space where each route is part of interactions between natural , socio-cultural, economic and political systems. The spatial dimension should be interpreted as a cultural mediator capable of directing the development of relationships with the environment, the territory and the society. In fact, between the educational values of geography there is confer the sense of space, based on the need to structure and extend their mental maps.
The course aims to transmit and solicit critical knowledge of the theoretical and methodological cores of Geography Education and to enable students to acquire specific skills (including reading and interpreting geographical maps and "geographical signs" in the territory and in the landscape). To provide the basic references for the organization of the discipline in nursery and primary schools, updates of the National Guidelines will be kept in mind and the numerous educational tools (specific and transversal) will be analysed, highlighting all the possible interdisciplinary connections that geography offers .
The module aims to convey a critical knowledge of the main theoretical approaches, methods and tools for teaching geography.

The course aims to stimulate the acquisition of skills in the field of teaching in geography; encourage the acquisition of critical skills on the use of the main geographical categories applied to the teaching of geography, world representations (imaginary cartography, mental maps, etc.), para-geographic narratives (fairy tales, comics, etc.)
