OVERVIEW

The Course is focused on the structural questions of Philosophy of Human Self-formation, underlying the critical-problematic relations between self-formation of human being and thought

The course has, as main purposes, the acquisition of critical-problematic knowledges related to the self-formation of the human being

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

The acquisition of appropriate knowledges and abilities in the process of comprehension regarding the critical-problematical aspects related to Philosophy of human formation is revolved to improve the skills to understand, interpret and deal with the problems associated with the self-formation. This allows to structure a heuristic logic able to grasp the relationships between the theoretical dimension and practical aspects related to the philosophy of human formation, then to realize autonomous understanding paths useful to address the various problems emerging from the philosophical interpretation of human formation.

TEACHING METHODS

Lectures are conducted in presence of the Professor and they are, predominantly, frontal. Within the course, group activities and seminars can be provided.

If it will be necessary, due to the prolongation of health situation related to Covid-19, Lectures will be hold on-line on Microsoft Teams platform.

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

The program of the course will consist, mainly, in the following contents: the identity of Philosophy of human formation; identity and difference between General Pedagogy, Philosophy of education, Philosophy of formation; the structural questions of the Philosophy of the human being; forms of humanism and nihilism; theories of ideas, theories of knowledge and theory of culture.

EXAMS

EXAM DESCRIPTION

Exam is written.

The exam, which last 45 minutes, is structured into a short number of open questions. During the time of the exam, students can consult texts in the program. Students have to take the exam with the program of the current academic year, even if they are enrolled in previous academic years.
If the exam is “not passed”, Students will have to take the exam again in the same manner.
For non-attending Students, exam procedures are the same.

If it will be necessary, due to the prolongation of health situation related to Covid-19, exams will be organized through distance modalities, which will be presented at the beginning of the Course.

ASSESSMENT METHODS

The written exam is finalized to verify the acquired knowledge by the students and their critical capabilities in the elaboration of the learned contents.

Evaluation criteria: relevance of contents, argumentation of acquired knowledge, logical coherence, language properties, critical-problematic ability.
