Cognitive learning of the pathological bases of the most common diseases with particular reference to those of the head-neck district. Learning of the morphological pictures of the most common neoplastic and inflammatory diseases of many organs and of the contribution of pathological anatomy to their diagnosis.
Systematic training in the field of pathological anatomy: damage mechanisms and clinico-pathological correlations. Systematic training in the field of pathological anatomy of the oral cavity; notions of pathological anatomy relative to other organs.
Provide students with general knowledge about the morphological pictures that are associated with major human diseases. Provide detailed knowledge of the pathogenesis and histo-cytopathological aspects of head and neck disease. The student must also be able to define the role of histological, cytological and molecular investigations in the diagnostic definition of these diseases.
Knowledge of normal human anatomy with particular emphasis on the cervico-facial district.
Knowledge of normal histological aspects with particular reference to the cervico-facial and digestive tract

Oral examination
The oral examination will verify the ability to describe the pathologies covered in the course and the contribution of histo-cytopathology to the diagnosis of diseases. The correct use of the specialized lexicon and the critical reasoning ability will also be considered.
