The course aims to provide basic elements of veterinary pathology and physiopathology.
Topics relating to the history of the pathology, the main causes of disease and the main medical terminology used in pathology will be covered.
Disorders of the blood, immune system and basic acid system of the body will then be classified.
The main poisonings of pets will be considered as well as the main infectious and viral diseases of dogs and cats.
The teaching is organized in lectures for a total of 10 hours. Lessons are given by the teacher with the help of presentations that are made available to students. In periods of health emergency, lessons are held remotely using the TEAMS platform and are recorded by the teacher.

Classes start the second semester in early March.
The exam consists of an oral test. In periods of health emergency, exams are carried out remotely using the TEAMS platform.
The oral exam will focus on the discussion of some topics concerning the program carried out through which the teacher will verify if the student has achieved the educational objectives. The ability to present, synthesize and critically analyze the contents of the program will also be assessed.
